It all started on October 25th, 2017 on King Georges Road in Sydney, Australia when Alexis and Michael were making their separate journeys home that night. Michael was with his mates making their way back home after watching a soccer match, while Alexis was driving home after a casual comfy night in with her friends.

As Alexis approached a red light, Michael was in the car next to her. He gave a friendly wave and gestured Alexis (a complete stranger) to roll down the window. He asked her "Are you an Uber driver". A bit of small talk stretching over about five red lights, Alexis eventually wished the boys a safe journey home and switched lanes. At the next red light, Michael asked Alexis to roll down her window one last time. Alexis leaned over to the passenger seat to crank the window down, where Michael noticed her charming outfit. Michael asked Alexis "are you wearing a onesie". Alexis was completely embarrassed. She was wearing a black and red checkered onesie and a scrunchie at the top of her head. Michael couldn't help but ask Alexis "can I please have your phone number". Alexis was so embarrassed of her Friday night onesie outfit, and as she drove off she couldn't help but tell this complete stranger her phone number. Michael memorized her number and shortly later that night Alexis received a text "Hey Lex, it's Mick from the car ride home. Nice onesie. I hope you got home safely. What did you get up to tonight?".

Two weeks of persistent texting went by and they finally meet up for drinks on November 7th at the old Allawah pub. After a quick "Hey, can I get you a drink" the rest is history.
